So being the adorable cynic that I am, it should come as no surprise that I did not see the point in making an Angry Birds movie. I saw the appeal in the games…probably because I spent waaaay too much time on it, but of coarse the idea of the movie didn’t make sense to me…

Untill now…

The idea fro the movie is pretty solid and as you will see in the trailer there is still more than enough to keep not only the kids happy but the adults stimulated. I probably won’t go as far to saythat I will be queuing for tickets that the movies but buy the time it’s released on DVD I will watch it…

The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red , a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck  and the volatile Bomb  have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

The film has some really great actors lending their voices. Directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, the angry birds get the voices of (Jason SudeikisWe’re the Millers, Horrible Bosses), Maya RudolphKate McKinnonTony Hale, (Danny McBrideThis is the End,Eastbound and Down), Keegan-Michael KeyBill Hader, and Peter Dinklage.
